In today’s White House Press Briefing, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confidently declared that the Trump administration is fully prepared as the Supreme Court reviews the case challenging President Trump’s tariffs.
Leavitt stated that the administration has complete faith in its legal arguments and expects the Supreme Court to rule in their favor, but confirmed that a “Plan B” is already in place to safeguard the U.S. economy should the ruling go the other way.
“The White House is always preparing for plan B,” Leavitt said. “It would be imprudent not to. With that said, we are 100% confident in the president and his team’s legal argument and the merits of the law in this case, and we remain optimistic that the Supreme Court is going to do the right thing.
”This moment showed the importance of what’s at stake in the Supreme Court on Trump’s tariff case and how his administration’s contingency plan could affect global trade and economy and the political and economic implications if the ruling goes against President Trump.
